Sophie is in her junior year at North Quincy High School. In the future, she hopes to move to California and become a doctor. Although journalism might not be the class you would expect for a future doctor, she hopes to strengthen her communication skills and learn how to help people get their news accurately. She also wants to reach out to the school community by sharing information about events happening both in and outside of school, so students can stay informed and involved. You can almost always find Sophie half asleep, whether it is in class or at her job outside of school. In school, you can find Sophie running the UNICEF Club and stressing over the math homework she procrastinated on the night before. When she is not in school, you can find Sophie spending money she does not have on Newbury Street, babysitting her younger sibling and cousins, or hanging out with her cat, Peggy. She also loves visiting her grandparents in Albania every summer and immersing herself in her family’s culture. She cannot wait to write for the raider round up and is open to any suggestions!
